On Friday 15th July it will be a year since my husband, Ken Evans, founder of EIATSCYP died suddenly and unexpectedly.
It has been a very difficult year but I appreciate the commitment of the EIATSCYP board to maintaining his vision.
With Dubravka as president, our work continues and the organisation is growing and developing. I am just back from Focsani, Romania where I had been invited by IRPI, to spend three days working in a Children’s Centre with workers from Child Protection and Children’s Services on issues relating to attachment. Ken would be pleased that EUROCPS continues to work actively with many other member organisations from EIATSCYP Over the last year I have been privileged to work on Children’s trainings with EITSCA Romania, Gestalt Foundation Greece, BHAICIP, Bosnia Herzegovina, CEIATCYP, Croatia, TACT, UK and IPSA, Slovenia.
I will be working with EITSCA again in October. In some groups there are trainees who have met and worked with Ken but others will only know him through his legacy. He would, like me, be touched by the passion and enthusiasm across Europe for improving services for children and young people.
Please remember Ken in your thoughts and prayers this week.
